Your guide will meet you at your Aswan hotel at 8:00 AM in a private air-conditioned car to start your tour.
Visit the High Dam, the great engineering project of the 1960s built under President Gamal Abdel Nasser, protecting Egypt from Nile floods and generating hydroelectric power. Take some photos of the dam and the Nile views from the top.
Take a motorboat to Agilkia Island to explore the beautiful Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Learn the story of its relocation by UNESCO, enjoy a short guided walk around the temple, and take in the magical Nile views.
Head to the granite quarries to see the Unfinished Obelisk, commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut. Still lying in place, it shows how ancient Egyptians carved their giant obelisks. Your guide will explain the carving techniques and the history behind it.
